The Vindolanda Trust is a registered charity, dependent for its revenue upon admission fees and the sale of goods in the museum shops. It maintains nine full-time staff supported by additional part-time and seasonal staff.

Vindolanda is a permanent research centre and the only one of its kind in Britain. To finance the on-going excavation, the Trust depends upon the subscription and continued support of our 'FRIENDS'.

With a FRIENDS subscription you receive:

• Free admission to both sites during normal opening hours.
• Our annual Friends Report outlining the current research results.
• An invitation from the Director, Robin Birley, to our annual reception on the site, where Friends are shown the latest material excavated by our full-time archaeologists.

New Friends of Vindolanda & The Roman Army Museum are ALWAYS welcome. Remember that YOU will be helping to preserve this monument on Hadrian's Wall World Heritage Site for generations to come.
